Face-to-face and Online Counselling
Sudden life-changes such as bereavement, redundancy, trauma, family or relationship probslems can leave any of us feeling vulnerable, depressed and unable to move forward. Then again, so can much less dramatic life events and emotions, things we tend to push aside and bottle-up for years. Sometimes we can even feel depressed, irritable or stuck for no obvious reason.
The commonest reaction to these negative feelings is to simply ‘carry on,’ often at the expense of our relationships, health, work and quality of life. Many people benefit from counselling in situations like these. Ivy Cottage Counselling offers a comfortable, homely environment where you can explore your feelings in confidence, see things from a different perspective and be supported through any choices or changes you may wish to make.
With over 20 years’ experience in counselling, my aim is to help you achieve the maximum benefit from the minimum number of sessions.
Sessions last for one hour. The cost per session is £55.00 (£60.00 for couples). Please note: I do not have the facility to accept credit/debit cards, payment is by cheque, cash or BACS on a session-by-session basis.
Ivy Cottage is open from Monday to Friday, 10.00am till 8.00pm (except bank holidays).
Life Coaching & Relationship Coaching
I am also a qualified Life Coach and Member of the Association for Coaching.
If you feel that counselling ‘as such’ may not be quite you’re looking for, one-to-one Life Coaching offers a proactive, goal-focused approach to maximising your personal potential.
While Coaching is unsuitable for deep-rooted emotional issues or trauma, it’s ideal if you’re just feeling ‘stuck’ or lacking momentum.
Also, for some couples, Relationship Coaching may be a suitable alternative to Couples Therapy, offering a collaborative, pre-emptive approach with a lighter touch.
My fee is £60.00 per one hour session.
Clinical Supervision
I’m a Senior Accredited Clinical Supervisor (BACP/NCPS), happy to work with both established Counselling Practitioners and students. I also offer Consultant Supervision to other Supervisors.
I provide an informal, non-judgemental environment for you to explore ethical and personal issues arising from your work, also a safe space where professional misjudgements can be transformed into learning.
For issues arising between sessions, I offer telephone and email support to my Supervisees at no extra charge.
My fee for a standard 1½ hour Supervision session is £75.00, or £60.00 for one hour.
